Toasted Sunset Cocktail

There’s something special about a Florida sunset, and you deserve something special to sip as you watch it! Our brand new specialty Toasted Sunset Cocktail combines our Toasted Finished Bourbon with lemon juice, angostura bitters, and a blend of cherry juice and datil pepper honey for a cocktail that looks as good as it tastes!
To make our Toasted Finished Bourbon, we took our mature Florida Bourbon and finished it in American oak barrels that were lightly toasted instead of fully charred. These unique barrels imparted more of the oak’s natural sweetness into the bourbon, yielding notes of marshmallow, vanilla, and sweetgrass.
This cocktail gets a kick from datil peppers, a type of spicy chile that grows in great abundance here in St. Augustine. We’ve infused some local honey with these peppers for a little bit of sweetness and spice, providing the backbone of this well-rounded cocktail.

INGREDIENTS
¾ oz lime juice
2 dashes angostura bitters
4 oz seltzer water
1/2 oz cherry juice
1/2 oz datil pepper honey
DIRECTIONS
Combine datil pepper honey and cherry juice in a small bowl. Set aside.
Combine bourbon, lemon juice, bitters, and seltzer water in a mixing glass with ice.
Stir 10-15 seconds.
Strain into collins glass over ice.
Top with cherry honey syrup for a layered effect. Enjoy!
