Old City Magic: Make Our Color Changing Halloween Cocktail
Enjoy some magic in your glass this spooky season with a new cocktail recipe from St. Augustine Distillery!
Founded in 1565 by Spanish conquistadors, St. Augustine is the oldest continuously occupied settlement in the United States, older than both Jamestown and Plymouth Rock.
Our city has undergone many changes since those days, from being almost completely destroyed by the British in 1702, to becoming the “Newport of the South” in the early 1900s, to playing a pivotal role in the Civil Rights Movement.
Today, we welcome millions of visitors to explore our city’s history, especially our beautiful Castillo de San Marcos, the iconic centerpiece of our city. The Castillo stands as the most fitting tribute to our status as an Old City: built in the late 17th century, it was the only structure to withstand the assault by the British, and the only structure from that era to remain standing today.
This Halloween, we’re honoring our Old City and all of its history, culture, and yes, magic. St. Augustine Distillery is proud to present the Old City Magic, a delicious cocktail made with our world-class gin and butterfly pea flower tea syrup, a striking ingredient that will turn your beverage from a deep, vibrant blue to violet with the addition of lemon juice.
Locals can visit St. Augustine Spice & Tea Exchange at 59 Hypolita St #3656 in St. Augustine, or visit your local gourmet grocery or tea store. Then, follow the directions below to create some Old City Magic right from your home!
