Commitment To Sustainability

St. Augustine Distillery supports local agriculture

The intersection of economic growth and social good…

In the spring of 2011, two dozen local families united with one shared vision: To build a sustainable business that would flourish at the intersection of economic growth and social good. By engaging the world’s most experienced distillers and restoring the historic FPL Ice Plant, we committed to not only crafting the nation’s finest spirits, but also giving back to our community every step of the way.

The project began with a 3-year restoration of Florida’s oldest commercial ice plant and continues today with sustainable practices including: The installation of the first natural gas line in Historic Lincolnville, FPL SolarNow Project with our partners at FPL, a continuous cycle water cooling system that captures and recirculates warm and cold water to heat and cook our mash, daily donations of distillers grains (cooked mash) to local farmers, and many other green initiatives.
