Community

One of the main goals we established when starting the company was to give back to our community in ways that would help make St. Augustine better for future generations. Since opening our doors in March of 2014, the primary areas of outreach have involved three local (landmark) institutions: St. Augustine Amphitheater, Lincolnville Cultural Center and Habitat for Humanity. We often remind our guests when they buy a bottle of our spirits for themselves or as a gift, they are getting more than a spectacular, award-winning spirit:  They are helping to invest in the future of St. Augustine. Read below to see how we’ve worked together to advance their missions and the great work they do for our community.

Core to our mission of making things better for future generations, we believe when we help people, we build community. And that starts with one family at a time.

Since everybody needs a home, who better to work with than the volunteers at Habitat for Humanity. In the last three years, our dedicated team members have rolled up their sleeves to help build five new homes for deserving families. There is no greater feeling than witnessing the love and joy these families have when they cut the ribbon and walk into their new home.

Because to your purchases of our spirits, we are able to help pay for materials to build these houses. Working together, we all can make a difference and help make St. Augustine a better place to live, work and grow.

The Amp St. Augustine Sing Out Loud Festival

When the St. Augustine Amphitheater opened in 2008, we knew something special had come to town. Their core values of presenting world class music, building community and giving back were music to our ears. So partnering with the amp team was a natural fit. Since 2015, we’ve sponsored the Amp Choice program for locals.

In 2018, we became a presenting sponsor for the annual Sing Out Loud Festival, an annual celebration of music featuring FREE concerts by local, regional and national acts. And again, thanks to your purchases, we are able to help underwrite a month of free music to thousands of fans. When everyone supports each other, we make beautiful music together.

Lincolnville Museum St. Augustine

St. Augustine is often called “The Nation’s Oldest City”, discovered in 1565 by Spanish Admiral Pedro Menendez de Aviles. Our distillery, a phoenix from the 1917 FPL Ice Plant, is located in the Lincolnville Historic District, established by freedman and freedwomen following the American Civil War. So when we explored where to reinvest in our local neighborhood, we discovered a partner that shares a common vision for doing social good: The Lincolnville Museum and Cultural Center.

The museum tells the story of St. Augustine's African-American heritage, tracing Lincolnville’s history from its origins when runaway slaves escaped built Fort Mose, through the Civil War era, the struggle for Civil Rights, and on to modern-day. The museum also presents an annual jazz concert series featuring local and regional artists. We are honored and proud to underwrite the great work being done by the staff at the LMCC. City of St. Augustine First Responders

When the first cases of novel Coronavirus (COVID-19) surfaced in March of 2020, we recognized the unprecedented danger the disease posed to our community. Thanks to the wisdom and quick response by both the FDA and TTB, distillers across America were encouraged to use the ethanol that makes our spirits and instead use is to produce hand sanitizer to slow the spread of COVID-19.

We immediately started making sanitizer and donated product to local first responders including local law enforcement, EMT, Fire Departments as well as to local hospice and hospitals throughout North Florida. We have proudly partnered with the Winn-Dixie Gives Foundation keep first responders safe while taking care of their communities. Consumer purchases of our sanitizer help underwrite the costs of these donations.

In short, when you support us, you are directly supporting first responders to help fight the spread of COVID-19. Click here to learn more.
