The St. Augustine Distillery will be celebrating their two-year anniversary on Monday, March 7th with a special bottle signing opportunity with head distiller, Brendan Wheatley. With a busy production schedule, this is the first time that Mr. Wheatley has been available to sign bottles for the public.
Mr. Wheatley was the first American invited to Japan to study whiskey production with Master Distiller and blender Ichiro Akoto. From 2007-2010, Mr. Wheatley worked as a distiller at the famed Alambic brandy distillery Germain-Robin in Mendocino, CA. Germain-Robin has won numerous awards, and has been selected by the White House to serve to dignitaries of state. He has both presented at the American Distilling Institute’s annual conference and been a judge for their spirit competitions. In his 15 years in the industry, he worked at distilleries spanning both coasts and Hawaii.
